Augustana is putting together a TREASURER TEAM.   Please consider sharing your time in helping to keep our financial records.   Let a council member know if you can cover any one of these duties:

·       Recording offerings

·       Entering income and expenses in Quicken

·       Paying expenses

·       Running monthly reports (Annual Reports)

TECHNOLOGY TEAM – Update

Beginning September 1st, Communications can be found in the weekly bulletin. The website is in the process of being updated. Church locations with contact information, worship schedule and online giving will continue to be available at https://neighborsinchristmn.org/.

Parish news and worship videos will be discontinued.  

We need volunteer(s) to help with our website and digital communications. If you have computer or website experience and are willing to serve, please contact Lisa Taralseth or a council member.

MN VALLEY WOMEN OF THE ELCA FALL GATHERING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10

The Spring Gathering for the MN Valley Women of the ELCA will be held on Saturday, October 10th at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Gaylord.  It will begin with 11:30 registration, followed with a meal at noon and program at 1 p.m.  Registrations are due October 1st.  A sign-up sheet is in the Augustana narthex.

MEN’S EVENT – AXES, AUTOS & BROTHERHOOD - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH

Christ the King – Every Man Alive invites men to Axes, Autos & Brotherhood on Sunday, September 27, from 1:00–4:00 PM at 1040 South Grade Road SW, Hutchinson, MN

Enjoy an afternoon featuring guest speakers, classic autos, axe-throwing, and a hamburger stand. Admission is free, with free-will donations accepted.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Eagles Healing Nest.

AUGUSTANA CONGREGATIONAL MEETING  SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18TH

A Call update was given at the September 8, Augustana Council Meeting.  Synod Minister, Pastor Heather met with all NIC Parish councils in August to provide an update on the call process.  She shared that she has accepted a call to serve a congregation.

An Augustana Congregational Meeting will be held after church on Sunday, October 18th to update members and discuss next steps.

THRIVENT CARDS HELP OUR KIDS

Thrivent members are eligible to request up to $250.00 in Thrivent Action Funds which help supply food and supplies for the Wednesday evening meals. Simply request a physical card to be given to a WOW team member. Can reach out to Lisa Taralseth or Carol Forst for questions.

Anyone can become a Thrivent Associate Member online and be eligible to apply for one $250 Action Team Fund a year.
